ADVANCED COOLING TECHNOLOGIES
We had an engineer who was designing a changing room for a local town pool. The code was calling for a certain amount of outside air but the engineer was concerned about a complicated system associated with hot-gas reheat and energy wheels.
We proposed and help specify a 750 cfm which would bring 100% outside air and deliver dry neutral air into the space. The wraparound heat-pipe pulled a full ton of sensible heat off the dx coil as reheat which required a lower sized condensing unit. This saved first cost and operating cost while maintaining a simple system. (the mechanical was able to use a light commercial condensing unit)
