The Good, Better, Best of Dehumidification It is understood that at any point air will have a specific quality in terms of temperature and humidity. If you look at a psychometric chart, the dry... Read more →
On a sunny winter day, the ambient temperature is cold but you feel the heat rays warming you from the sun.
That, is what infrared heat is. Infrared heat is available in High Intensity (lower footprint) or Low Intensity
(tube heaters) and are typically gas, although electric is available. Units can be installed indoors
or outdoors; perimeter heat or heating the whole space.
Why Use Infrared Heaters Instead of Forced Air?
Delivering radiant energy is far more efficient than heating up air and blowing it down onto people and things. As much as 80% of the heat generated by forced air is wasted. It floats back up to the ceiling, gets vented to the outside. Click the chart on the right to see how Infrared saves you money on your energy bills by delivering more BTUs to the floor than forced air systems with less BTU input.
