To get humidity in the air, there are 2 fundamental choices: Isothermal and Adiabatic. Isothermal is the “common” type of boiling water
What is adiabatic humidification?
Adiabatic humidification is a process where humidity is added into the air by using the energy of the air for absorption. Your adiabatic humidification system disperses water droplets into the air by creating a fine mist and uses the energy from heat in the surrounding air to accomplish this.
For high sensible loads (like data centers), it is perfect since the adiabatic humidifier will actually cool the air! (20# = 1 ton of cooling!)
If the electric panel is full, the adiabatic humidifier will typically use single phase power and pull very little amps
If the heat in the system is derived from natural gas, the adiabatic humidifier will cost less to run then electric
Units are available as low as 10#/hour and can go as high as 10,000# or more!
