To get humidity in the air, there are 2 fundamental choices: Isothermal and Adiabatic. Isothermal is the “common” type of boiling water

Adiabatic humidification is a process where humidity is added into the air by using the energy of the air for absorption.

For high sensible loads (like data centers), it is perfect since the humidifier will acutally cool the air! (20# = 1 ton of cooling!)

If the electric panel is full, the humidifier will typically use single phase power and pull very little amps

If the heat in the system is derived from natural gas, the humidifier will cost less to run then electric

Units are available as low as 10#/hour and can go as high as 10,000# or more!
